Bridgeport is a city in southwestern Connecticut, in Fairfield County. It is located at the mouth of the Pequonnock River on the Long Island Sound. Bridgeport combines the history of a powerful industrial community with a stunning diversity of people and cultures. The city is also an important banking and manufacturing center.

Beardsley Park

Beardsley Park, 1875 Noble Avenue. Connecticut's only zoo, located in beautiful 180 acre Beardsley Park. Thrill to the majesty of our magnificent Siberian tigers.... Journey through the exotic South American Rainforest... see flamboyant tropical birds, fish, reptiles, crocodiles and woolly monkeys swing from the vine. The state's only accredited zoo features more than 300 specimens. The zoo offers a children's petting farm, picnic area,
snack bar, gift shop and pony rides too.
The zoo's New World Tropics Building — with a variety of wildlife in a South American rain forest setting — is open daily from 10:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. The zoo is open 9 a.m. - 4 p.m. daily. Barnum Museum
